Nee Soon Central CC SCEC National Day WuShu Tai Chi Demonstration Night

Singapore’s 58th National Day was a momentous occasion that brought together practitioners from all over Singapore to celebrate the nation’s journey, growth, and accomplishments. We thank the organizers for inviting us for this meaningful event. The demonstration night to us was not just a performance; it was a heartfelt expression of gratitude and unity. The dedication of our members in perfecting the coordinations in the routines and the exceptional performances showed on the sage added an extra layer of significance to Singapore’s 58th National Day Celebrations. Through Taiji, they embodied the values of unity, harmony, and discipline that have been integral to Singapore’s journey as a nation. Just as Taiji balances opposing forces, Singapore continues to balance its rich history with a progressive future, making each National Day a reminder of the strength of unity and the beauty of diversity.

We titled our performance in this event 展翅高飞在君伍 (Soaring High with JunWu) as our heartfelt expression of our best wishes for Singapore’s continued journey of soaring to greater heights. There are 3 parts in our performance:

Part 1: Yang Style Basic 8 Hand Form: as embraced by our new members, mirror Singapore’s initial years of nation building. Just as these foundational movements cultivate balance, co-ordination, and understanding, Singapore’s early endeavours focused on harmonizing diverse elements, fostering unity, and laying the groundwork for a resilient and prosperous nation.

Part 2: Paired Weapons (Fan & Sabre): Just as Tai Chi weapon routines build upon the foundational movements, the growth and maturity years of Singapore’s nation building similarly evolved from its strong base. These weapon routines symbolize the refined skills and strategic progress that emerged after the initial groundwork, reflecting Singapore’s transition to harnessing its established foundations for advanced development and prosperity.

Part 3: Individual Taiji Long Handle Broadsword: The performance of an individual executing Tai Chi broadsword routines mirrors how future Singaporeans are empowered to soar through the combination of foundational strength and advanced development. Just as the practitioner wields the broadsword with precision gained from mastering the basics, Singapore’s citizens, armed with a solid foundation and strategic progress, are poised to navigate the future with confidence and reach new heights of success.

HAPPY 58th NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE !!
