Year in Review: Junwu Taiji 2025
Every year in martial arts is measured not by time alone, but by the quiet hours that shape it.
Behind every appearance on stage lies the silent rhythm of training halls. Repetition after repetition. Correction after correction. Through patience and discipline, movement becomes intention, and intention becomes presence.
In 2025, many new members stepped beyond the training floor to share the art with the wider community. Across thirteen demonstration performances, they carried Taiji to different stages and gatherings, meeting fellow martial artists and audiences through the language of movement. Each performance was more than a display — it was an opportunity to express the calm strength cultivated through practice.
At the same time, many among us stepped onto competition floors for the very first time. What begins as uncertainty often becomes clarity in the moment of stepping forward. First competitions brought not only medals, but also confidence, courage, and the experience of testing one’s training under the gaze of judges and peers. These moments mark important milestones in the journey of martial cultivation.
This year also saw Junwu hosting the 2 gatherings of our own: 与君共武3 and SG60 Tampines Changkat Kung Fu Night — occasions where practitioners and friends could come together through Taiji. These events reminded us that martial arts is not only about individual skill, but also about community: learning together, supporting one another, and sharing the spirit of the art.
Yet beyond stages, medals, and events, the heart of Junwu remains where it has always been — in the practice itself. In the laughter between training sessions, the quiet corrections from seniors, the perseverance of beginners, and the shared discipline of group practice.
From stillness, strength emerges.
As we close the chapter of 2025, the journey continues. The path of Taiji is not measured by a single year, but by steady steps taken over time.
